The Janus Head

What is a Janus head and how is my name connected to my personality?
Janus Head twoheaded

The Roman god Janus had two faces which looked in opposite directions. The month of January is dedicated to him.

Janus is the God of the threshold, of transition and of change. He looks back and forth, he has the past and the future in view. A God who watches over the moment, protects the present by focusing on the past and the future.

The image of Janus as two-headed reminds us that, as human beings, we are always radically de-centered and unknown to ourselves.
